HandCrafting Justice

This past Saturday I worked. Or as I like to call it - renewed my commitment to staying unemployed. My friend, Julie is a volunteer for the HandCrafting Justice project.
From the website-HandCrafting Justice is a fair trade partnership working with women struggling for economic justice and independence in developing countries.
HandCrafting Justice is a project of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd. We work in cooperation with women struggling for economic justice and independence in the developing world. We support them and assist them in their efforts to create employment for themselves in order to provide for their families and better their lives.
Julie has actually gone to Madagascar to visit with some of the Artisans. Once or twice a year she asks me to help out at a sale. This Saturday's sale was at St. Gregory the Great Church in Hamilton.
The bottom two pictures are from the bathroom of the hall of the Church. I just loved those murals ! (you know you're a blogger when you're taking pictures in a bathroom. And, Yes I was the only one in there! )
The next sale I'll be helping at will be on November 4th at St. Anselm's Church in Wayside, N.J.
Come visit me and do some Christmas shopping for a great cause.
If you're not in New Jersey check out their website for a sale near you-
