Art everyday-

The piece I submitted on the Thing-a-day blog for today. Copies of a picture of me-taken by Tim a good 18 or so years ago. I gave it a Andy Warhol inspired treatment with color pencils.

Johnno- this picture also from about 18/19 years ago.

And below- Griffin and Riley's art of the day. One of their favorite forms of creating art is graffiti. Today was warm enough for them to go outside and spray paint a little project they are working on- a skate park in our backyard. The middle image was made by Riley using a four piece stencil that he drew and cut out himself. It's Volcom's skateboarding logo.

You absolutely have to show me how to do the Andy Warhol thing! R and I were just looking at these in the back of a magazine for over $100 per picture. Hoping you won't charge me that much . . .

Well this one cost 40 cents for the copy machine. Photocopies and colored pencils- not hard.

Okay, perhaps not hard, but GENIUS! I love it! Of course the fact that your pictures are so adorable helps:)

We had some of the very same designs (Volcom symbol, and "chalk outline") on the halfpipe in our backyard! Of course, they're long gone now, due to the frequent bursts of creativity that are expressed out there. It's nice to have your own personal graffiti spot, isn't it?

(BTW, I'm a fellow unschooler and I just found your blog through the IT list. ;)
