Making Valentine ATCs- Day 11

Day Eleven- Valentine atcs. I've been taking old photographs to be copied. Black and white- on regular paper. It's so much fun to add glitter, rick rack, random words cut from magazines. I just tape/glue it down on an old playing card. The right music is very important.
Also today-my dishwasher's broken. I'm hand washing dishes- it's like Little House on the Prairie here.

Day Ten

Today I had eight Homeschooling friends over to hang out, talk about our 4H group, eat chocolate and make Valentines. Todays thing - I made brownies, arranged flowers and dipped spoons in chocolate for stirring coffee. Tim took the boys to archery practice and then to his parent's house for a visit.

The cookie...as art. Part the Second

This afternoon when we came back from 4H the boys were looking for a snack. Not pretzels, no to granola, an apple? no way. I remembered these ready to bake cookies in the freezer. I bought them on sale the day after Halloween. So we defrosted them, decorated and baked them and had our sugar fix. Griffin made a huge sprinkle covered work of art and the carrot shaped one. I think that one looks positively healthy. Like it should have beta-carotene in it. You can feel your eyesight improving as you eat it. Sticking with the Halloween theme, I made a pumpkin pie that was also forgotten, then found in the freezer. So baking- that's my thing-a-day for today.

I'm going to be an Aunt again (and again)! My youngest sister is having twins! She's due sometime in Sept. The best news-ever.
My day started with taking Griffin to have some blood drawn for a couple tests and it didn't go well. All I'm allowed to post is that he fainted (twice) because for some reason he thinks that's cool. He doesn't want me to write about anything else ("I can't see" "I can't feel my legs" " You're so taking me to Dunkin Donuts") So I'll just say- it was a scene, man. And Tim's taking him if he has to go back. If they ever let us back in. Griffin's in fine spirits now and just today finally dropped in on the half-pipe. I took some video but for some reason it's not posting -hopefully I'll figure it out later. I have to say this posting every day thing is starting to wear thin. Today's thing-a-day.....doodle on an envelope, terrarium and soup. Now it's time to go to Riley's guitar lesson.
