Just. Too. Cute.

They're here! Last night my sister Suzanne and her seven week old twin girls came to New Jersey for a visit. They are staying at my Mom's house. I went there yesterday to help out with the night shift. Because there was a lot to catch up on, and the time change, long naps on the plane and other things we didn't even go to bed until 3am. Ava was the first to wake up at 3:40am. She was happy to sleep as long as I rocked her and patted her back but every time I tried to put her back in the cradle her little eyes popped open and she just wasn't having it. So we rocked. My Mom came in at 5am and took her downstairs but no sooner did I crawl back into bed than Zoe was up. So it was bottles for the babies and coffee for my Mom and me while Suzanne slept in a little. I did get in a little 20 minute nap around 8am but that was it for the night. Just so tired. But they are cute beyond words. I could watch them for hours- yawning, sneezing, hiccuping. They have lots of tricks. These are just a small sampling of the pics I took- Enjoy!

Autumn, New Jersey style

Five things I'm happy about

1. It's fall! The leaves are changing and it finally
got a little chilly, flannel sheets are on the beds.
I love this season.

2. Tim and I rented an adorable movie
this weekend. I love English humor.

3. New shoes!

4. Johnno came home this weekend!
Here he's dressed up as Snoop Dog for a
Halloween party. He was only here for one
night but I managed to cram in a family dinner
and breakfast, just the two of us went out for
pizza and he watched the Giants win
with Tim.

5. Baby countdown- just over 8 hours from
now my arms will be full of twins!!!
My Mom and sister Suzanne are coming to
Jersey with her little girls tonight.

Tea cup Flower arrangements

Last week- homeschooling

Field trip-
We went to see "Ichabod Crane" tell the story of
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Neill Hartley was the performer- very entertaining.
Griffin and Riley were most impressed when
it came out during the Q and A that he had a
small part in the movie The Sixth Sense.

For P.E. - we went to tennis and homeschool bowling.
Also Griffin jumped off the roof of the
clubhouse 3423454 times and Riley
is teaching himself to juggle.

After tennis snack!

Saturday-

A trip to NYC with my home girls. L to R - Aimee, Pam, me. On the ferry- the only way to go.
We passed lighthouses, the Statue of Liberty, went under bridges, went right by two of the waterfalls.

We took a nice (3.7 mile) walk from the dock, stopping every six feet to take a dozen more pictures. We had lunch and went shopping at South Street Seaport. Perfect weather, perfect company, perfect day. More pics here.

Tim's home!

From a week in Naples, Italy. It's now become our family tradition to gather 'round the coffee table right when Tim gets home from a business trip and dig in as he unpacks a bag of foreign junk food. This is my idea of a great geography/world culture lesson.
