Cupcakes and Henna

I was lucky enough to receive many, many thoughtful gifts for Christmas this year. Two of them have been keeping me busy.....

My sister-in-law Noreen gave me the book Hello Cupcake! and I've made and decorated three batches of cupcake so far. It even inspired me to go to Michael's Craft store with my 50% off coupon and buy myself a set of icing decorator tips. My boys are a little old to get excited about animal cupcakes but they are still willing to eat them. So far I've made little dogs, panda bears and owls.......

My sister JoAnne gave me a Henna kit. I took it to a friend's house and her lovely daughters were kind enough to let me practice on them.

The bottom - my own design-
the letters T, J, R and G-
for the four men in my life.

You've inspired me. I have Hello Cupcake & haven't made anything out of it yet. I've wanted to try the butterflies for a while but the puppies turned out adorable. Now I'm torn!

Happy new year ;)

The dogs are my absolute favorites, but I love them all, you're so ridiculously talented.

Even better, those are your best henna creations I've seen yet. Fantastico! I think the letters are a real tattoo waiting to happen. They're perfect.

I had to go back this far to find where I lost track of entries -- OMG -- you have to tell me when you start blogging again after not blogging for long amounts of time. This is going to take me hours to catch up!!!! Plus, I want a henna tattoo. Soon. When can I come over? Now?
